Let's be faster than the fraudsters. Find out how OLAF protects taxpayers' money and how you can help!

Join this workshop, organised in the framework of the The European Week of Regions and Cities, to understand how fraud happens, what OLAF does, and what you can do about it!

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. With a EUR 392 billion budget, the EU Cohesion Policy is a fantastic opportunity for development. It is, however, also a fantastic opportunity to defraud.

In this context, OLAF is pleased to invite you to its EU Regions’ Week online workshop “Let’s be faster than the fraudsters. Find out how OLAF protects taxpayers’ money and how you can help!”. The workshop will take place online, on Wednesday 12 October from 14h30 to 16h00.

In this workshop, we will present to you our investigative work and discuss with you our common challenges. We believe that fighting fraud is everybody’s concern: each euro stolen is taxpayers’ money not going to a deserving project. Join us to understand how fraud happens, what OLAF does, and what you can do about it!

Who can attend?

People involved in the day-to-day implementation of cohesion policy, whether in a project managing capacity or in an auditing capacity may find this workshop of particular interest. Anyone with an interest in the protection of EU funds is welcome to join us!

How to register?

Participation is free of charge. You will first need to create a profile and register on the organisers’ site, and then register to the OLAF session. Check the detailed registration guidelines
